Laura Espinosa (b. 2003, Bogotá, Colombia) is a figurative artist currently based in Italy. She specializes in classical realism, working primarily with charcoal, and oil paint.
She recently graduated from the Drawing & Painting Program at the Florence Academy of Art, where she spent three intensive years refining her craft. In recognition of her work, Laura has been selected for the Academy’s Graduate-in-Residence program, which will begin in September 2025.
Her work goes beyond capturing a likeness—she is deeply invested in the philosophy of art and the layers of meaning that painting can convey. She seeks to infuse every piece with depth, reflection, and intentionality, always striving to push her technique and artistic vision to their fullest potential.
